Mindfulness is breaking new ground in all fields which involve humans. It is experienced as
-
focus on the present
-
being absorbed in the moment
-
being soley aware of what's happening now
As described by wikipedia, here, mindfulness has been shown, in studies, to:
Hypnosis as described by Wikipedia, here, as having two popular theories on what makes it function. The first is imagination and role playing, the second is an altered state of consciousness.
Mindful Hypnosis™ recognizes naturally occuring altered states such as:
-
Arriving home and having no memory of the drive
-
End of class and no memory of the lesson
-
Any day dream
Mindful Hypnosis™ uses hypnotic methods and imagination to control the altered state and develop belief.
Hypnotic depth falls on a continuum. When someone speaks to you there is a part of your brain, called Wernicke's area, that automatically comprehends what the person says. This directly accesses our imagination so we can comprehend the word. The stroop effect is an example of this. Even as you are reading this, you are in a form of trance when the text says "red rocket ship" your brain imagines a red rocket ship. Wernicke's area is responsible for making all words suggestions.
All words shape our brain. Some messages have more meaning than others.
-
Stranger telling you something vs favorite celebrity telling you same thing.
-
Saying "I love you" on your way out the door to work vs "I love you" after near death experience
Same words are being used but the context and delivery of the words give it more meaning and power. Mindful Hypnosis™ uses these elements and more to create lasting change.

Not remember anything from class? Arrived home and wondered if you stopped at the red lights? If you have you had just emerged from a day dream. You were captivated by the imagination. This is also considered self-hypnosis.
